Herbalifeline Max, MindVita Kids and ViewVita Herbalife omega-3 products on a kitchen table

Herbalife sells three omega-3 products in the UK — Herbalifeline® Max, MindVita Kids and ViewVita — and they are not interchangeable.

Each targets a different age group and a different mix of authorised health claims. This guide breaks down exactly which one fits which need, capsule by capsule and gel by gel.

Quick Summary

  • Herbalifeline® Max — adult capsule, 375mg EPA + 250mg DHA each, dose scales from 1 to 5 capsules depending on the effect wanted (heart, brain/vision, triglycerides, blood pressure).
  • MindVita Kids — chewable gel for ages 4–17, 250mg DHA plus B vitamins (B6, B12, biotin, niacin), one gel a day.
  • ViewVita — adult chewable gel, 250mg DHA plus Vitamin A and zinc for vision, plus lutein and zeaxanthin (no EFSA-authorised claim for these two — see the transparency note below).
  • All three contain fish and are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, regardless of any vegetarian capsule shell.
  • Combining two of these products in the same day stays well within the EU’s 5g/day combined EPA+DHA safety ceiling — see the dosing-safety section.

Omega-3 Basics, Briefly

EPA and DHA are the two long-chain omega-3 fatty acids with EU-authorised health claims, found pre-formed in oily fish. All three Herbalife products on this page get their EPA and DHA from fish oil rather than a plant source. For the full science — dosing tiers, blood-thinning medication cautions, food sources — see the detailed Omega-3 & Fish Oil science guide. This page focuses specifically on choosing between Herbalife’s three products.

Which One Is For You?

The right product depends on who is taking it and which effect matters most.

Buying for an adult, general useHerbalifeline® Max — scalable dose covers heart, brain/vision, triglycerides or blood pressure claims depending on how many capsules are taken.

Adult wanting a vision-focused formulaViewVita — adds Vitamin A and zinc (both authorised for normal vision) alongside DHA, plus lutein and zeaxanthin.

Herbalifeline® Max, in Detail

Herbalife Herbalifeline Max omega-3 capsules

Herbalifeline® Max

Vegetarian gel capsules filled with sustainably sourced fish oil, providing 375mg EPA and 250mg DHA each. Friend of the Sea® accredited.

View Product →

Herbalifeline® Max is the only one of the three where the daily amount is deliberately adjustable. One capsule already meets the 250mg threshold for normal heart function and the 250mg DHA threshold for normal brain function and vision. Four capsules reach the 2g EPA+DHA needed for the triglyceride claim, and five reach the 3g needed for the blood pressure claim — all while staying under the 5g/day combined safety ceiling.

MindVita Kids, in Detail

Herbalife Gels MindVita Kids Moonbeam Lemonberry chewable gels

MindVita Kids — Moonbeam Lemonberry

A sugar-free, gluten-free chewable gel for children aged 4–17, providing 250mg DHA plus B vitamins in a single daily gel.

View Product →

One gel a day meets the 250mg DHA threshold for normal brain function and vision. The added B vitamins — B6, B12, biotin and niacin — contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal nervous system function and normal psychological function. The gel should be chewed thoroughly and taken under adult supervision, as stated on the label.

ViewVita, in Detail

Herbalife Gels ViewVita Berry Citrus Blast chewable gels

ViewVita — Berry Citrus Blast

A sugar-free, gluten-free chewable gel providing 250mg DHA, Vitamin A and zinc, alongside lutein and zeaxanthin.

View Product →

Vitamin A, zinc and DHA in ViewVita each carry an EU-authorised claim contributing to normal vision. Zinc additionally contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to the normal metabolism of vitamin A.

Transparency note on lutein and zeaxanthin: ViewVita also contains lutein and zeaxanthin. Neither currently carries an EFSA-authorised health claim under EU Regulation 1924/2006 — proposed claims relating to macular pigment density, blue light protection and cognitive performance have not been evaluated or approved by EFSA. Any studies referencing these effects are cited by the manufacturer independently of the EU claims process. Lutein and zeaxanthin are included here as ingredients, not as claims this article is making on their behalf.

Can You Combine Two of These?

Combining Herbalifeline® Max with ViewVita on the same day stays within the safety limit. Five Herbalifeline® Max capsules (the label’s maximum) provide 3.125g combined EPA+DHA; adding one ViewVita gel adds another 300mg, for a combined total of roughly 3.4g — still under the EU’s 5g/day combined EPA+DHA ceiling. MindVita Kids is formulated for children and should not be combined with an adult product for the same child.

Do not exceed labelled doses to “stack” effects faster. Each product’s own label states its own recommended daily amount — these are not designed to be doubled up beyond what’s stated.

All three products contain fish and are not suitable for vegetarians, vegans, or anyone with a fish allergy — including Herbalifeline® Max, despite its vegetarian capsule shell (the fill inside is fish oil).

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between MindVita Kids and ViewVita?

Both provide the same 50mg EPA and 250mg DHA per gel, but MindVita Kids is formulated for children (4–17) with added B vitamins, while ViewVita is aimed at adults and adds Vitamin A, zinc, lutein and zeaxanthin for a vision-focused profile.

Can a child take Herbalifeline® Max instead of MindVita Kids?

MindVita Kids is the product specifically formulated and dosed for the 4–17 age range. Herbalifeline® Max’s label does not specify a children’s dose, so MindVita Kids is the appropriate choice for a child.

Is ViewVita’s lutein and zeaxanthin proven to help eyesight?

Lutein and zeaxanthin do not currently carry an EFSA-authorised health claim in the EU. ViewVita’s authorised vision claims come from its Vitamin A, zinc and DHA content, not from lutein or zeaxanthin.

Are any of these three products vegetarian or vegan?

No. All three contain fish oil, and the two chewable gels also contain gelatine. Herbalifeline® Max’s capsule shell is vegetarian, but its fill is fish oil, so the finished product is not.

How many capsules of Herbalifeline® Max should an adult take?

It depends on the effect sought: 1 capsule meets the heart-function and brain/vision thresholds, 4 capsules meet the triglyceride threshold, and 5 meet the blood pressure threshold — all within the 5g/day safety ceiling.

Can I take Herbalifeline® Max and ViewVita on the same day?

Yes — combined, they stay well under the EU’s 5g/day combined EPA+DHA limit. Follow each product’s own labelled daily amount rather than exceeding either one.
